WEEKEND RIDES:
Saturday June 30 - 9:00am An Alternative Holland Cycling Excursion
Meet Kevin Wells-Knecht in New Holland
for a 38 mile C+ paced ride.
While it's not the Holland you read about in travel magazines,
this cycling trip does offer views of dairy cows and windmills at a cheaper
price.
There's something for
everyone - rolling Amish countryside, a covered bridge, horse and buggies,
horse poop, some climbing, and one awesome
downhill heading back into New Holland.
We'll reward ourselves near the end with ice cream at Lickity
Split (http://lickitysplit.info/Home_Page.php).
I figure any place with a "cow on bike" logo must be
bike friendly.
Leaves from Garden Spot High School
parking lot (669 East Main Street).
They'll be a brief rest stop at ~23 mi in Honey Brook to rehydrate if needed.
Cue sheets will be available for those that want to ride faster or
slower.

route at the following: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1253444
